We are seeking a Senior Analyst, External Reporting to join our SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting team based in Newark, California. The candidate will report to the Senior Manager External Reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of SEC reporting and technical research on accounting issues.
Assist in the coordination and preparation of information included in earnings releases, annual report, Form 10-K, Proxy Statement, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K and other SEC filings
Assist in drafting of new footnote requirements and MD&A and preparing financial reporting tie-out binders
Support management of the financial reporting software platform (Workiva/wDesk) including process validations and improvements
Perform technical research on accounting issues and new accounting standards and assist in drafting technical accounting memos
Collaborate with facilities and general ledger teams for the execution of the ASC 842, Leases, process, including associated disclosures
Audit support during annual audit and quarterly reviews
Coordinate and manage requests from external auditors
Assist with M&A transactions and related SOX controls
Assist with the execution, maintenance and updating of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 processes and procedures
Prepare stock-based compensation calculation, EPS calculation and cash flow
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Assist in preparation of Audit Committee and other presentation materials
Supports accounting policy refresh and draft
Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives and support ad-hoc requests
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA preferred but not required
4+ years of public accounting experience and/or relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP with proven ability to identify, research and resolve accounting and disclosure matters
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience with Workiva (a plus)
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines, with high standards for quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
Self-driven, ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
