The Team and Role:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, APAC Accounting to lead our regional APAC general ledger and payroll teams. The candidate will report to the Head of Global Accounting and Consolidation within the Controllership Organization and will have significant interaction with teams across Controllership and Finance including Corporate and Regional Controllership, Business Finance, Treasury, Tax, IT and Legal to ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. We are looking to hire a motivated team player with strong initiative, good communication skills and experience as an accounting leader in the APAC region to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, APAC Accounting. This is a high impact, high visibility role supporting the global Finance Organization at Logitech.

  • Manage the APAC regional monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in coordination with the global close calendar to support accurate and timely quarterly/annual SEC financial statement audit procedures under US GAAP
  • Oversight of the APAC region’s month-end and quarter-end close processes, including but not limited, to review of journal entries, review of account reconciliations, review of control activities and preparation of balance sheet fluxes. Monitor and communicate Close status, and ensure all teams within the APAC region are on track with the Close calendar
  • Own the APAC end-to-end payroll process to ensure successful execution of the monthly payroll process across all APAC legal entities
  • Responsible for all statutory accounting activities within APAC to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements; coordination of external audit activities; stay informed on current legislation/requirements that impact APAC accounting
  • Serve as a change agent for system improvements including automation and partner with key stakeholders across regions to identify opportunities to automate and streamline the monthly/quarterly close and payroll processes. Work with IT on system enhancements and/or implementations
  • Perform processes and procedures to comply with SOX 404 controls and maintain updated SOX documentation to support internal and external audit SOX review processes for all APAC accounting and payroll activities
  • Develop, coach, train, and instruct the APAC team to utilize best practices
  • Participate in cross-functional team special projects and initiatives
  • Build strong partnerships within Corporate and Regional Controllership Teams, Regional Finance, and IT to enable accuracy of financial statements and to support the business on cross functional initiative/projects

Key Qualification:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in an accounting management position at a global company; 4-5 years of experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is highly preferred along with relevant SOX knowledge
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification required
  • English fluency required
  • Proven experience in understanding and documenting APAC countries statutory GAAP differences compared to US GAAP
  • Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy as well as ability to see the bigger picture
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in order to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Inspire the continued development of the team, ensuring appropriate growth of each team member while fostering a spirit of continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment; has experience working within a fast paced, global organization
  • Ability to translate and communicate complex accounting information to various audiences to support informed business and financial decision making
  • Strong change-oriented mindset with experience in managing process improvement initiatives
