Electrical Engineer Roll and Responsibilities

·         Design, make, and test electronic circuits and systems

·         Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications

·         Inspect designs and operations to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards

·         Use computer-assisted engineering software (CAD) to perform engineering tasks

·         Support manufacturing department with product development and testing

·         Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects

·         Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering

·         Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical designs

·         Verify hardware and firmware functionality

·         Research & identify components, create libraries, capture schematics, write layout instructions, support inside or outside PCB layout including all reviews

·         Preparing test documents, running tests and preparing reports

·         Preparing V&V documents and reports

·         System bring up and debug

·         write specifications; determine system & unit test requirements

·         Keep lab environment in an orderly manner

·         Generate required drawings and documentation for testing, manufacturing, product specification etc.

·         Assist in the manufacturing process by evaluating test and manufacturing equipment and product test results for initial assembly of products

·         Assure product quality by developing and executing test plans to verify production equipment prior to release

Common Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering.
  • 3+ years' electrical engineering experience
  • Competent in the use of electrical engineering software
  • Competent in the use of electrical engineering equipment
  • Strong understanding of micro-electronics manufacturing processes
  • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the need arises
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing analog and digital circuits, component selection, and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of current PCB fab and assembly technologies, SMT, supporting design for manufacturability, environment (i.e. RoHS & Green) and reliability
  • Experience with extra low-power design
  • Experience and knowledge of sensors and MIMs
  • Experience in OrCAD Schematic capture and board Layout
  • Experience using Altium Designer
  • Hands on experience with using common electronics lab equipment
  • Hands on experience with soldering of very small components (0201 size)
  • Microcontroller designing and programming experience
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects
  • Excellent communication and ability to provide concise regular technical reports to production, technicians, engineers, managers and other departments


·         C and C++ programming experience

·         Experience in designing Bluetooth products

·         Experience in PCB design for RF circuits (including Bluetooth)

·         Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans to verify production equipment and samples prior to release

  • Knowledge and experience in reliability calculations, lift testing, DTC and FMEA
  • Familiar with Solidworks or other MCAD tools
  • Familiar with using Network Analyzers and antenna matching
