The Role:

 Reporting to the Head of C&P, EAMEA, the selected candidate will be responsible to manage all commercial aspects of C&P Category, Mid-tier & Lifestyle to achieve revenue and profit targets.

The Regional Category Manager will then be responsible to develop and execute the winning category and marketing plans to make C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle a success within the region, both growing the category and increasing our share.

The successful candidate must have solid experience in influencing and working with cross-cultural teams as well as the ability to engage and interact with teams in remote locations. He or she will need to possess the experience to be able to work closely with country teams to drive product, channels, pricing and marketing planning across the region. They will also partner with the Creativity and Productivity business group to provide key insights and direction pertaining to the European and Asia Pacific markets & consumer trends.

He or she must have strong experience in category management/growth strategy, consumer marketing and demonstrate a passion and interest in understanding consumer needs as well as online and offline retail channels, with the following goals.

  • Function as the primary focal point between local markets and the C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle business group.

  • Lead the marketing plan (Online & Offline) development & execution for C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle categories across the region.

  • Measure and report commercial and marketing performance of initiatives and assets against goals (ROI and KPIs) within the region.

  • Ensure consistency in local market execution in line with the C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle regional strategy.

  • Translate the C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle regional strategy into local market plans, brand positioning and go to market tactics.

  • Analyse brand positioning, competitor activity, industry data, insights and consumer trends for C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle with the key markets.

  • Monitor market trends, consumer research and competitor activities to identify opportunities and key issues.

  • Have ownership and accountability for C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle categories growth and revenue performance in line with the regional business objectives.

  • Formulate the regional C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle product portfolio roadmap in conjunction with the Global Team and forecast planning & sales estimates.

  • Manage pricing and margin strategy for C&P Mid-tier & Lifestyle categories in line with the local channel strategy. 

                                                                                                                            

Your Skills:

For consideration, you must bring the following skills and behaviors to our team:

  • 10+ years’ experience in category management, consumer/category marketing or in marketing management roles.

  • Strong experience in working across cross-cultural teams and working with remote teams.

  • Tertiary education in Business or Marketing preferred.

  • Experience in planning and executing category growth programmes and marketing mix including managing 360 campaigns.

  • Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

  • In-depth experience in understanding customer insights & attitudes that influence marketing planning.

  • Ability to use quantitative data and metrics to drive strategic decisions and marketing activities.

  • Self-motivated, passionate, high energy level open to travel across the region.
