Operation Research Engineer
Supply Chain Operations Research specialist performing Supply Chain analytics and generating insights, employing techniques from other mathematical sciences, such as mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and mathematical optimization, operations research arrives at optimal or near-optimal solutions to complex decision-making problems.
What you’ll be doing:
You will form part of a core team heavily involved in design, development, testing, deployment and stabilization of new planning software in Asia. Your primary role upon deployment of new supply chain software would be to play an integral core CoE (Center of Excellence) team player supporting and enhancing the project going forward. Your role will require close coordination with Asia operations team supporting their needs and translating their requirements into solutions for the betterment of Logitech supply chain.
You will advocate, evangelize and build data-fuelled solutions that help Logitech Supply Chain improve. You’ll dig in and become an expert on our Supply Chain datasets. You will be chiefly responsible for production support of analytical systems for planning and insights generation.
Additionally, you will provide insight into leading analytic practices, design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions that will become part of our core deliverable.
You will work with Supply Chain team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas. You will lead applied analytics initiatives that are leveraged across the breadth of our solutions for Supply Chain. You will research, design, implement and validate cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes.
As an operations research engineer, you will provide expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader applied analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics across the entire breadth of our organization.
Skills and Qualities we are looking for:
- A Team player
- Analytical and mathematical
- A graduate or master degree in one of the following majors:
- Mathematics, or Operations Research
- Must have completed at least a major in statistics
- Stochastic simulation
- Inventory modeling
- Ability to write complex SQL queries (required)
- Tableau software (required)
- Prior Experiences in Supply Chain Operations (desired)
- Prior Experiences in global deployment of large scale software (desired)
- Prior Experiences in Rapid Response software (desired)
- R or Python (desired)
