What You Will Do:
Emergency Department EMT provides skilled nursing care as listed in job description, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, to patients in various nursing situations. The EMT is responsible to render quality patient care to all ages with illnesses, disease and/or physical limitation. This job description is based on an evaluation of the position at the time this description was written. What You Will Bring:
High School Diploma
Successful completed EMT course.
Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within one year of employment
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
High school graduation required. Competent in providing care based on the cognitive, physical, emotional chronological stage of human growth and development. Must practice in a manner which resulting in the accomplishment of our mission/vision. Always respect the right and dignity of others. Must have reliable means of phone communication with the hospital. Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work. Complete ED orientation.
