What You Will Do:

The Reimbursement Analyst assists in the preparation and submission of Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and other regulatory filings as assigned. Assists in the preparation of monthly third-party account transactions, and A/R Reserve analysis. Assists in the periodic updates of the hospital encounter cost system. Provides ad-hoc financial analysis and reports requested.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assists in the preparation and submission of Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory cost reports.
Maintain knowledge of current regulatory guidelines and assist with development of reimbursement strategies to maximize revenue.
Plan, prepare, and review monthly third-party settlement estimates and accounts receivable reserves.
Assists with cost report audits as well as external financial audits surrounding third-party settlements and accounts receivable hindsight analysis.
Analyze third party settlements and correspondence for accuracy and reimbursement implications.
Supports the internal encounter costing software and perform periodic cost updates.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports to Senior Management as requested.
Contribute to overall financial success of the System in continuous pursuit of the fulfillment of its Mission.

What You Will Bring:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

Experience
Working knowledge of third-party reimbursements and Medicare and Medicaid cost reports preferred.


Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and Medicare Cost Report Software required.
Knowledge of third party (Medicare, Medicaid, and other agencies) reimbursement rules and regulations preferred.
Knowledge of third-party reimbursement techniques preferred.
Detailed knowledge of accounting systems related to the reimbursement field required.
Ability to develop financial and statistical models for third party cost reimbursements and enhancements via automated office equipment preferred.
Highly detail oriented and organizational skills required.
Ability to meet assigned deadlines required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill with a focus on customer service required.
Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to maximize performance and results required.
