What You Will Do:

Pharmacists at Winchester Medical Center exercise their clinical and operational expertise on a daily basis to provide safe and effective care to our patients. In this key role, you will be assisting physicians and nurses in making the best decisions regarding each patient’s pharmacotherapy. You will also work in tandem with our pharmacy technicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of medications, as well as sensible inventory management.
Each of our pharmacists are trained in a variety of skills necessary to rotate throughout the hospital. This includes critical care pharmacy, internal medicine, multi-disciplinary rounding, NICU/pediatrics, chemotherapy, sterile compounding, medication reconciliation, OR and anesthesia medicine, therapeutic drug monitoring, anticoagulation, antimicrobial stewardship, and central pharmacy operations.
Ideally, you have prior experience working in hospital pharmacy or have completed residency training. Experience with Epic electronic medical record and Pyxis automated dispensing is also preferred. What You Will Bring:

Education

Bachelors Pharmacy or Pharm D required.

Experience
oExperience with Epic pharmacy systems and Pyxis preferred.

Certification & Licensures
Virginia OR West Virginia Pharmacy License required (or acquired within 90 days of hire). Must possess license for entity location.

Qualifications
Must be knowledgeable about medications, their pharmacology and dosage ranges for use in neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Keyboarding skills required.
