What You Will Do:

Delivers customized training and team/organizational effectiveness solutions based on business needs and requests. Designs and develops instructor-led training programs to support ongoing improvement of staff and business initiatives. Assists with the development of tools and assessment strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of training courses. Plans, coordinates, delivers, and executes learning and development programs and content for front-line staff to mid-level leaders. Reviews existing, purchased, and available training content making a collaborative determination to ensure the right training, in the right format, for the right groups, at the right time. Organizes programs, considering the cost of the training and looks for effective and efficient ways to deliver training. Based upon a data-driven determination, to meet the training needs of VHS, assists with the design and development of customized training content employing an ISD with industry recognized methods, incorporating current trends and research or by manipulating existing, and purchased modules. Determines proper method of delivery, including instructor led, via train the trainer, electronic media, internet, or blended approaches as appropriate for the content, objectives, locations, available time, and professional standards. Assesses and further develops training formats to meet needs in the field. Collaboratively establishes training processes, including pre- and post- learning assessment, establishing objectives, support activities and maintenance programs. Maintains knowledge of resources available for training topics and recommends /works with organizational leaders to determine optimal balance of internal/external for all aspects of training: design, development, delivery and assessment. Provides learning support to all business units. May oversee vendors in development and delivery of programs. Organizes logistics and delivers content of department-owned programs to ensure timely, efficient delivery and learning, to include VHS General Orientation and the New Leader Academy. Establishes collaborative relationships with colleagues, key partner departments HR Operations, IS, Communications and others) and vendors to ensure best practices. Keeps up with current training methodology Recommends, develops, and assists in implementation of programs designed to enable the organization to meet its objectives. Consulting with line management, HR business partners, other staff to assess the effectiveness of current practices, develops programs to close gaps between expectations and performance. Benchmarks best practices in areas and adapts/modifies/enhances to meet the organization’s need based on OD principles, organizational competencies, business strategy, and VHS policies. Provides internal consulting on related OD issues as needed.
