What You Will Do:

The CVOR Manager is responsible for CVOR Supervisor, CVOR RNs, CVOR CST, Anesthesia Techs, and 2 Anesthesia Core Techs. The Manager will perform direct patient care for CVOR, provide clinical and administrative leadership for CVOR, and provide leadership of ongoing objectives including quality, financial vitality, and team member and customer satisfaction. The Manager is responsible for coordinating staff and operations, EPIC EMR, and creates goals and objectives for the CVOR department. Enforces policy, goals and objectives. Evaluates supplies, working with surgeons and Supply Chain to improve inventory, reduce inefficiencies and reduce waste. Communicates with staff and department leaders, keep and organize records of their particular facility. Recruits and trains nurses and other health professionals. Oversees staff work schedules to ensure coverage for the CVOR cases and 24/7 coverage. Ensures the facility they work in is compliant with current laws. Improves the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients. Helps to resolve any problems patients might have at the facility and works with other leaders. Investigates reported Risk Issues and help to proactively resolve future patterns.

What You Will Bring:

Education
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required

Experience
5+ years of experience in operating room is required. Willing to consider Charge Nurse or Clinical Coordinator experience.
Supervisory experience preferred (Charge, Coordinator, Assistant Nurse Manager)

Certification & Licensures
Licensed Registered Nurse in Virginia required
National Certification by Specialty Organization required within (2) years of hire
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) – American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) – AHA approved required*
Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
*New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications
Knowledgeable in the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills in planning, implementation, managing.
