What You Will Do:

The Sr. Decision Support Analyst has a lead role in planning, preparation, and delivery of financial, clinical and business analysis, decision support, project management, and consulting services for the healthcare system and affiliates. This includes the day-to-day development and support of data extractions, integrations, and transmissions for the decision support system, regulatory agencies, consultants, quality and safety initiatives, as well as other clinical or financial systems. In addition, other key responsibilities include development of operating plans and financial solutions that promote an environment of effective decision-making, revenue enhancement, cost efficiency, and sound business practices. Works closely with other corporate teams (accounting, materials management, reimbursement/tax, information technology, clinical informatics and budgeting) and other hospital teams to develop and package financial and clinical products and services catered to meet the specific needs of network customers. Ensures the effective and timely delivery of quality business intelligence products and services to VH customers. Supports the CFO/Corporate Director of Strategic Finance in the development of the annual operating and capital budgets and assists in the seamless integration of these plans with the operating goals of hospital business units.

What You Will Bring:

Education
Bachelor's degree required

Experience
At least 4 years experience in finance, decision support, programming, or data analysis required 4 plus years experience with ETL (DTS/SSIS), SQL query development, data warehouses and data mining techniques Strong experience in the overall design of ETL processes, interface architecture, and business intelligence solutions Strong experience in decision support systems, spreadsheets, relational databases, various server/database platforms, fundamental DBA operations, various report-writing and other software tools Must have demonstrable organizational experience in decision support, financial analysis, planning, database management, and revenue cycle Experience with asp.net and SQL programming desirable


Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to identify key business / information needs, define data specifications and/or data modeling Must have strong oral and written presentations skills and be able to make effective oral presentations and prepare concise written reports to a variety of audiences, including Boards
