What You Will Do:

Strategically manage and implement HR technology and operational processes focused on the functionality and business processes of the Human Resources department. Special attention will be given towards improving effectiveness and efficiency and driving leadership and staff engagement. The Director, HR Technology and Operations will measure HR technology functionality against organizational needs and create a roadmap for systemically supporting a comprehensive range of HR disciplines to include benefits, compensation, recruitment, and workforce planning. Providing leadership to the members of the HR technology and operations teams, this position maintains responsibility for system configuration, data reporting, data integrity, record keeping, and pre-employment and payroll business processes. As part of the Total Rewards team, this role will work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Finance & Accounting, Payroll, IT, Legal, Compliance, etc.)
o Operationally oversees HR operations, reporting and HR technology maximization. This is a hands-on leader who will improve HR processes with the use of technology while maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures and federal and state regulations
o Provide functional and technical expertise and leadership to drive, maintain and optimize our HR Systems and Operations
o Maintain accountability for all HR data and reporting needs, working closely with HR partners and key stakeholders to develop our data strategy and then leveraging and/or developing tools to capture and report on key metrics aligned to the strategy
o Drive the HR Technology and data strategy, managing interdependencies and reviewing the existing HR technology landscape on an ongoing basis to deliver on the current and future needs of the organization
o Oversee day-to-day maintenance, administration, enhancements, and communication related to HRIS and any other current or future HR systems, including managing releases/upgrades, developing project plans to leverage new features, and serving as primary subject matter expert for optimizing system design, configuration, and integration
o Provide both a technical and business lens on HR vendor selection and management to maximize our return on investment in HR systems
o Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with teams across the organization
o Maintain and update data across all HR managed systems for reporting and data tracking purposes, including data entry as needed
o Responsible for maintaining monthly HR dashboard and supporting metrics to support business and strategic needs
o Work in partnership with Valley Health’s IT Team to ensure our HRIS integration with IT systems where applicable and leveraging enterprise-wide technology solutions where appropriate
o Lead implementation of any future HR system upgrades, changes, or additions
o Address data and reporting needs from various stakeholders with a focus on data quality and data governance within the organization
o Keep current on both the HR Technology and HR Operations best practices in service of continuous improvement of processes and systems

What You Will Bring:

Education

Masters Degree in Management, HR, OD or related field required (or completion of master's degree within three years of entry into position)

Experience
• 8+ years’ experience in the strategy, implementation, governance, and administration of a variety of human capital management systems/HR technology, operations and people;
• Demonstrated experience in Workday highly preferred
• Experience developing reports and managing reporting needs for internal and external audience
• Demonstrated strengths in collaboration and influencing skills and ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities
• Ability to listen and engage with empathy, communicate clearly, and present successfully to a variety of audiences

Certification & Licensures
HR Certification (i.e., PHR, SPHR) preferred

Qualifications
• Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing and managing complex functions and projects.
• Excellent communication, listening and facilitator skills.
• Comfortable leading and facilitating large groups of internal/external stakeholders.
• Operational leadership experience
• Proven knowledge and experience in Human Resource areas including: Compensation and Benefits, HR Technology assessment and deployment, HR compliance, HR operations
• Demonstrated ability to translate organizational needs and prioritize into effective strategies
• Results oriented
• Ability to interact with external stakeholders and manage complex vendor relations
