What You Will Do:

The Senior Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for preparation and submission of Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and other regulatory filings as assigned. Prepare monthly third-party account transactions, and NR Reserve analysis. Serve as administrator to hospital encounter cost system, perform periodic updates. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested.
Responsibilities and Duties
Coordination and filing of Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party cost reports.
Maintain knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid government regulations, completes statistical and financial modeling to produce cost reports to ensure all possible reimbursement enhancements or opportunities are captured.
Assess reimbursement impacts of changes in regulations and/or contracts.
Prepare reconciliations and work papers of third-party balance sheet accounts for financial audits.
Respond to third party audit requests, assemble data as required during audits by various third-party payors examines and reports the impact of the audit adjustments to management.
Analyze third party settlements and correspondence.
Prepare Medicare Wage Index Survey.
Prepare annual DSH surveys and audit requests.

What You Will Bring:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

Experience
Three to five (3-5) years of experience including preparation, audit or review of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports required


Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and Medicare Cost Report Software preferred.
Knowledge of third party (Medicare, Medicaid, and other agencies) reimbursement rules and regulations required.
Knowledge of third-party reimbursement techniques required.
Detailed knowledge of accounting systems related to the reimbursement field required.
Ability to develop financial and statistical models for third party cost reimbursements and enhancements via automated office equipment required.
Highly detail oriented and organizational skills required.
Ability to meet assigned deadlines required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill with a focus on customer service required.
Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to maximize performance and results required.
