What You Will Do:

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist the Level I Pharmacy Technician accurately prepares and labels medications, fills automated dispensing devices, squad boxes, code trays and replaces floorstock. The Level I Pharmacy Technicians fills and exchanges patient-specific medication supplies, monitoring for returned and discontinued medications, as well as restocking storage bins and facilitating requests for re-ordering drugs and supplies. The technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment and communicating in support of Valley Health values.

What You Will Bring:

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience
•Previous pharmacy experience preferred.

Certification & Licensures
• Valid Virginia Pharmacy Technician Certification or obtain within 9 months of hire required
or valid Virginia Pharmacy Intern Certification

Qualifications
• Must meet complete competencies and be eligible for training for Level II Technician within 2080 hours of employment at Valley Health. • Criminal background check required.
