What You Will Do:

The Point of Care - Phlebotomist is a multi-skilled position that efficiently processes patient and specimen workflow. The Point of Care - Phlebotomist performs the pre-analytic phases of laboratory testing procedures to include proper technique for the various types of blood collection to also include collection of blood cultures. The Point of Care – Phlebotomist will perform the analytic and post analytic phases of waived and moderately complex testing procedures. The Point of Care - Phlebotomist is also responsible for compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to safety and lab testing.

What You Will Bring:

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates Biological Science or chemical or physical science degree preferred
or have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist

Experience
2 Years Healthcare/Medical - Phlebotomist required
Previous experience with Urine Drug Screen collection and Breath Alcohol Collection preferred

Certification & Licensures
Certified phlebotomist or eligible preferred

Qualifications
Demonstrates knowledge / competence in providing service to patients of all ages including: neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric
