What You Will Do:
Performs optimal diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provides high quality care for patients of all ages from the neonatal to geriatric. Takes call as necessary to meet the needs of the department.
1 Years Clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience in a hospital setting preferred
Certification & Licensures
ARDMS Certification required within 12 months of hire date or transfer
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
RDMS certification in at least one anatomic category required within 12 months of hire date or transfer into department. Additional RDMS certification in which the department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in accordance with the accrediting body’s guidelines. * New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
•Must satisfactorily complete clinical competency assessment in Ultrasound Imaging prior to transfer (internal promotion) or within 30 day of employment (new hire). •Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and competence in providing medical imaging services for patients of all ages including neonate, child adolescent, adult and geriatric. •Additional technical competencies in general radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) special procedures or Nuclear Medicine preferred.
