This position is eligible for teleworking, which is currently 2 days per week. New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective date of hire.

Summary
This role will lead the execution and delivery of complex, cross-domain technology initiatives within the Enterprise Strategy & Architecture division. It combines technical solution and project management with strategic oversight, working closely with architecture functions across Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Platform, Data & AI, Application, and Network Architecture, as well as IT teams including Capital Projects, Operational Technology, Infrastructure & Operations, Product, Cyber Security, and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Plans and executes projects according to deadlines and within budget, including resources and coordinating efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
- Develops solutions to meet project requirements while following MTA architecture standards, tool selection, architecture patterns and templates.
- Provides a central point of contact for ESA project execution across technology work, encompassing input from all stakeholders, including Business, vendors, IT, legal, procurement, Risk, and compliance.
- Provides leadership, mentorship, and direction to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Contributes to the development of the technology strategy ESA projects and ensures that technology resources are aligned with business objectives.
- Manages and allocates both human and technical resources efficiently to ensure that projects are completed efficiently.
- Acts as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensures that stakeholder requirements are met.
- Contributes to the development of the budget for technology initiatives and forecasts future needs to ensure that resources are available as needed.
- Oversees the quality control of all technology deliverables, ensuring that they meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Mitigates potential risks that could impact technology projects. Evaluates existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation. May oversee between 10 and 20 staff; provides direction, feedback and coaching as needed.
- Continually manages team priorities and resource demand/supply; recommends timelines and resources needed to achieve goals and objectives. Ensures efficient allocation of resources to meet project timelines and objectives. Track and report project progress using KPIs and dashboards, preparing and presenting regular updates to the Chief IT Architect and other executive leadership.
- Oversees rigorous quality assurance processes to deliver reliability, performance, and safety objectives. Oversees staff workload and quality of work, addressing performance issues when needed.
- Develops and manages budgets, contracts, and resources.
- Continuously develops and maintains personal knowledge of relevant industry models, methods, and tools, emerging technologies, and high impact regulatory changes.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
- Experience: Minimum of 5 plus years of relevant technology experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
