Tyler Technologies is currently seeing applicants for a Windows Systems Engineer to support our Digital Solutions Division.

The Windows Systems Engineer is responsible for all aspects of system administration in a fast-paced environment utilizing a variety of technologies. Examples of these technologies include AWS, Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, SCCM, SCOM, Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure and VMWare.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide maintenance and support of critical application environments hosted on virtualized Windows Server platforms
  • Build and configure Windows servers
  • Highly competent in Active Directory administration and troubleshooting in a Hybrid Azure AD environment
  • Provide customer support via phone and email
  • Compile detailed documentation on new and existing architecture
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call and monthly patching rotation
  • Resolution of Incident tickets in accordance with SLA
  • Manage assigned project activities to achieve stated project goals, objectives, and schedules.
  • Mentor and train junior system engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Working knowledge configuring and troubleshooting IIS
  • Experience working in a Hybrid Cloud environment, with knowledge of AWS, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, Azure Identity Platform, and 365
  • AD, GPO’s, DNS, DFS, SCCM, SCOM
  • Experience with VMWare deploying servers, editing server configurations, migrating hosts
  • Strong understanding of load balanced environments and familiarity of common configuration techniques
  • Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server administration
  • General troubleshooting skills (Network / Operating System / Application)
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability and desire to thrive in a high-pressure, client-service, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, combined with strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities are also required, as complex issues must be resolved in a timely manner.

BONUS EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with AWS/Azure cloud environments and containers
  • Application Performance Monitoring (New Relic, AppDynamics, App Insights, Nagios)
  • Azure Monitor/Azure Log Analytics
  • Monitoring, including custom developed monitors, and creating monitoring policies
  • Windows Server Core 2016, 2019
  • Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible)
  • SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019, subscription edition
  • SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Certified
  • Experience working in PCI, HIPAA, FEDRAMP compliant environments.
