Cloud Architect
Description
Tyler Technologies' Herndon, VA office is currently looking to hire an experienced Cloud Architect with a strong background in AWS and EKS/Kubernetes to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure to support scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. You will play a critical role in driving our cloud strategy, ensuring that our infrastructure meets the current and future needs of our business. Preference is to work a hybrid schedule from our Herndon, VA office.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud solutions using AWS services, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
- Architect and deploy Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications, including monitoring, scaling, and updating.
- Collaborate with development teams to create and deploy microservices architectures and CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct cloud readiness assessments and recommend improvements to existing architectures.
- Lead cloud migration projects, including cost analysis and optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding data security and privacy.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices to the team.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and introduce innovative solutions to enhance our cloud capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Solid experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management and orchestration.
- Proficient in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
- Knowledge of networking principles and security best practices in the cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or Kubernetes certification preferred.
- NIST SP 800-53 Rev5 experience preferred.
