Responsibilities
• Oversee/Lead multiple and highly complex projects and work streams simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met.
• Successfully build rapport, influence and negotiate with clients, vendors, employees, management, senior management/leadership, vendors, stakeholders and relevant parties to achieve project goals.
• Make strategic and information based decisions appropriate to the unique situation involving root cause analysis and looking at the facts of the situation.
• Strong financials knowledge application to large and complex projects (budgets, P&L, etc.).
• Successful track record of interpreting and consistently and effectively applying contract terms knowledge on client projects.
• Oversee/Lead efforts to improving appraisal services processes, methods and deliverables.
• Communicate strategically (oral and written) using various platforms to successfully communicate with various audiences; Lead/create training materials, oversees/contribute to training various parties i.e. clients, management, technical staff and other relevant parties.
• Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking skills and experience with strong problem solving experience for highly complex and new issues.
• Outstanding organizations skills including expertise prioritizing various work streams and multiple complex projects at the same time.
• Maintain and apply appraisal/tax industry expertise (IAAO/comparable courses). Recommending new approaches to senior leadership where appropriate
• Appraisal/tax standards, rules and state/regulatory requirements knowledge and expertise along with successful certification achievement for the client’s respective state.
Qualifications
• BS/BA degree in Business, Mathematics/Statistics, Project Management or related field or equivalent work related experience; Appraisal/Assessor certifications required. Certified Project Management Professional certification (PMP) is strongly preferred. TAX CAMA systems experience is strongly preferred; multiple systems experience is a plus
• Able to maintain and apply appraisal/tax industry expertise and recommend new approaches to senior leadership
• Appraisal/tax standards, rules and state/regulatory requirements knowledge and expertise along with successful certification achievement for the client’s respective state.
• County/municipal government property valuation/assessment in public or private sector experience is required.
• At least five or more years work experience project managing projects full life cycle with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and work streams successfully simultaneously and strong financials knowledge application to large and complex projects (budgets, P&L, etc.).
• Proficient experience manipulating CAMA computer systems and demonstrated experience with complex statistical models to apply factors successfully influencing values, grades, CDU, neighborhood, land factors and other related factors
• At least 10 years of appraisal service related experience involving the proven experience successfully performing functions for various aspects of mass appraisal (Residential/Agricultural & Commercial/Industrial), Reappraisal, new construction, Cost Market Valuations and related appraisal service functions
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of hearing/tracking module and assessment administration
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Commercial and Residential Cost Systems (i.e. Marshall Swift, Boeckh, etc.)
• Excellent initiative, interpersonal, collaboration and relationship building and customer service experience involving developing strategic and trusting relationships with internal and external parties such as clients, vendors, employees, management, senior management, vendors and relevant parties
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with a proven track record of prioritizing and executing on multiple priorities and work stream successfully
• Excellent people management and leadership skills involving hiring, supervising, coaching, mentoring and developing staff
• Travel depends on the number of projects the supervisor is overseeing; must be able to provide reliable transportation and carry full insurance on vehicle
