As a Utilities Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of our utilities-focused software products and services. Leveraging your deep domain expertise in the water and/or electricity sectors, as well as your strategic acumen, you will collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute strategies that drive market leadership, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
 
This is a senior-level position with significant responsibility in setting the strategic direction for our utilities-focused offerings. In this role, you will:
 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of utilities operations, processes, and challenges, particularly in water management or electricity distribution. Use this domain expertise to inform strategic decision-making and product development.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to assess customer needs, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities within the utilities software landscape. Translate these insights into actionable strategies to penetrate new markets, expand product offerings, and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and refine strategic initiatives that align with the company's overall objectives and market dynamics. Identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation, and competitive advantage in the utilities software space.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to conceptualize, prioritize, and roadmap software applications tailored specifically for utilities clients.
  • Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert, representing the company at industry conferences, events, and client meetings to showcase our utilities-focused solutions and thought leadership.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the executive team on market trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth and innovation within the utilities software market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Computer Information Systems or a related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the utility industry, specifically in the water and/or electric sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with prospects, consultants, and clients.
  • Willingness to travel 8-10 times per year, for a total of 5-7 weeks on the road.
  • Professional certifications related to the utility industry or applicable areas of expertise are preferred.
