As a Product Strategy Manager specializing in utilities software applications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of our products and services tailored for the water or electricity sector. Leveraging your deep domain knowledge and strategic acumen, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute strategies that drive market leadership, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.

This is a senior position with significant responsibility in the strategic direction of our products. This position will conduct market research, analyze that research, and propose major project initiatives with the objective of improving our position in the market. This position will spend a significant time on the road meeting with prospects, consultants, and clients, and attending demonstrations and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the resident expert in utilities. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions and product development efforts.
  • Develop and refine strategic initiatives that align with the company's overall objectives and market dynamics. Identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation, and competitive advantage within the utilities software landscape
  • Conduct comprehensive market analyses to assess customer needs, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities. Translate market insights into actionable strategies to penetrate new markets, expand product offerings, and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to conceptualize, prioritize, and roadmap software applications tailored for utilities clients. Define product requirements, features, and functionalities based on customer feedback, market research, and industry best practices.
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader in the utilities software space through participation in industry conferences, speaking engagements, and publication of white papers or articles
  • Deep understanding of utilities operations, processes, and challenges, particularly in water or electricity management.
  • Driving strategic initiatives from conception to execution, delivering measurable results in revenue growth, market share expansion, or operational efficiency improvement.
  • Leverage your expertise to elevate the company's brand, credibility, and influence within the market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Computer Information Systems or similar.
  • Minimum of five years of experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel 8-10 times per year for a total of 5-7 weeks on the road.
  • Professional certifications in applicable areas of expertise a plus.
