Description

Leading Web Services and E-Commerce Company seeking a full time Business Analyst to complement our growing team in Richmond, VA.  Ideal candidate will be local and open to work a hybrid schedule. 
 
As our Business Analyst, you will be an Individual contributor that is responsible for participating in development, maintenance and enhancement of business applications. Participate in project teams within as assigned business unit or corporate department and utilize various technology platforms. Collaborate with business partners, and other technical staff to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Under the leadership of another IT Professional, partners with business and technology subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business needs into system requirements
  • Documents requirements and establishes scope.
  • Analyzes, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specifications
  • Partners with business and quality assurance partners during acceptance testing
  • Provides information that can be used to create user manuals that describe application configuration and operating procedures
  • Independently partners with business and technology subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business needs into system requirements.
  • Understand methods for dealing with requirements changes and their impact on testing and product quality
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Assists Managers to coordinate project resources to ensure projects are delivered on time.
 

Qualifications

  • Associates degree, or equivalent, preferred in area of specialty
  • Requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience in meeting facilitation
  • Experience in writing software requirements
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products
  • Assists with the creation of business cases and effort estimates
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners within project team
  • Ability to partner with software engineers and quality analysts to identify course of resolutions
  • Understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Understanding of modeling techniques, such as unified modeling language, etc.
