Description

The Proposal Response Specialist provides comprehensive, opportunity-specific product or service details during the sales process and is responsible for developing proposals from start to finish; working with subject matter experts to gather information to deliver high-quality proposal responses.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to all aspects of the proposal preparation - from proposal organization, assigning proposal questions to subject matter experts and providing and managing deadlines, document tracking and version control, through to final proposal submission in line with established proposal development processes.

  • Collaborates with the Tyler sales team, product marketing, legal, development, management and other staff to develop, research, and write concise, compliant, impactful responses.

  • Plans, implements, and manages the proposal organization structure by closely analyzing the requirements of the RFP for compliance and the effectiveness of the proposal process and recommends changes when needed.

  • Communicates progress and outstanding issues throughout the proposal process to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Ensures that the final proposal submission is in compliance with all RFP requirements.

  • Assists in creating and maintaining subject matter and proposal Q & A databases that support the business needs of Tyler, the proposal development process, and sales process.

  • Interacts with Implementation staff and management to develop and maintain a keen understanding of our services direction and capabilities.

  • Assists with the staffing matrix, project plan or SOW as well as essay style questions associated with RFPs from prospective clients and consultants. This entails compiling detailed responses regarding Tyler's service offerings and approach to successful project management.

 

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related field or comparable business experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience developing public sector proposals.

  • Experience with criminal justice products/services for state/county government preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment (both independently and as a team player).

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple proposal responses at any given time.

  • Excellent time management, decision making, presentation problem solving and organization skills.

  • Strong professional and persuasive written/verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow up.

  • Expertise in MS Word (formatting), Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Qvidian.
