Transdev has an exciting opening in Burnsville for Operations Supervisor! This position plays a critical role working with bus drivers to ensure that our operation runs efficiently and successfully. We are looking for dependable, computer-savy, inquisitive, and motivated applicants. Here in the Twin Cities we provide public bus transportation for various city bus routes, and Transit Link; your support ensures that passengers get to where they need to go each day! 
The Operations Supervisor works closely with bus drivers daily; coaching and congratulating their performance. This position is responsible for utilizing technological reports and tools to analyze the operation’s performance, and identify areas where improvement is needed. In addition to working with drivers, this position will provide oversight to our dispatch and scheduling teams to ensure that we meet our performance goals. A significant portion of the position’s time will be spent at a computer in an office environment; excellent Microsoft Excel skills and a critical mind are required. 
Responsibilities: 
  • Communicates job requirements and responsibilities to drivers; disciplines as needed
  • Responsible for creating, researching, and reviewing daily route and driver evaluation reports
  • Monitor trends and statistics to ensure operational goals and efficiencies are met
  • Liaison between drivers, clients, and management including customer service issues
  • Assists with DOT/FTA compliance, recordkeeping, and accident investigation
  • Assists with dispatching, scheduling or driving routes as needed
  • Other office and supervisory tasks as needed
