Overview:

The Inventory Administrator will lead the Maintenance Support group’s effort in providing the best value and timely supply of goods and services while controlling the costs and improving the efficiency of inventory.    

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practices policies and procedures to control and manage the supply of materials
  • Evaluate the inventory needs for new location startups and shutdowns.
  • Monitor inventory performance and trends
  • Provide central control and cataloging of new part numbers.
  • Create and manage a national warranty and core program.
  • Assist locations with the control and disposal of obsolete inventory
  • Work with Corporate Procurement in determining the requirements and specifications of materials to be sourced.
  • Perform audits on materials management processes
  • Responsible for the implementation and compliance of corporate vendor agreements.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
  • Assist with CMMS support and administrative work as required.
  • Create reports as required.
  • Provide training to new field-based parts personnel.
  • Perform Materials management training for field locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • College Degree in Finance/ Business or an appropriate combination of education experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work experience in the Maintenance and or Procurement fields would be beneficial.
  • Possess a high level of motivation with the ability to operate under minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with constructing Excel Pivot tables.
  • Experience in transportation is preferred.
  • Excellent team building and project management skills.

  • 75% is done remotely using modems, laptops, e-mail and the Internet
  • 25% travel to offsite locations to meetings, trade shows and conferences.
