OVERVIEW: 
 
The Dispatch Lead is responsible for the daily oversight, direction, and coordination of the dispatching department, ensuring company, federal, state, and health plan regulations are complied with while also achieving the highest degree of safety for our Medicaid and Medicare members. The wage for this opportunity is $19.00/hr. 
 
DUTIES: 
 
  • Acts as first line lead for designated dispatch staff, including in assisting in training, managing performance, and enforcing discipline when necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring all shifts are covered adequately and dispatcher workload is distributed evenly.
  • Assist in conduct monthly performance evaluations of all staff members in accordance with Central Dispatch objectives.
  • Help enforce approved policies, procedures, and instructions within dispatch department.
  • Help escalate transportation provider performance issues to network management team
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed and/or assigned.

  • Possess valid authorization to work in the United States required
  • High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Two years related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Working Knowledge of Ecolane software preferred
  • Knowledge of GPS and GIS systems
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, e-mail, and/or database software preferred. 
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Must be able to read a map and possess knowledge of the service area.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Must be hospitable, guest/customer service oriented, and be willing to serve the needs of passengers.

The majority of the work is accomplished indoors and in well-ventilated facilities. The employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the environment is moderate.
