Accountant (SO2)
Description
POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:
To ensure all tasks are managed and reconciled to assist in the processes of providing an accurate and timely account of the company's finances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of monthly accounts and assisting with preparation of the company's monthly reporting packs (including store profit and loss reports).
- Complete month end close procedures including month end accruals and journals including but not limited to: Salaries & Oncosts, Marketing, IT costs, Freight, VM, Telstra, Rent
- Monthly BAS preparation
- Assisting Finance Manager with annual budget preparation.
- Monthly review of intracompany and ensuring loans reconcile. '
- Fixed asset management and posting in Activa (our Fixed Asset Management software)
- New Supplier et up in AP-21
- Assist stakeholders around the business with department budget tracking (marketing, labour etc)
- Assist with monthly sales budget uploads

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA qualified
- Experience with multi profit centre profit and loss in the skills/knowledge section
- Accounts experience in a retail or services environment
- Knowledge of general month end accounting tasks
- Solid Excel skills
- Highly organized to meet schedules and timeframes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player
- Detailed and focused approach to work
- Developed analytical, numerical skills and practical application thereof
