Role and Responsibilities
The Practice Lead, Platforms will matrix manage a geographical team that fixates on
solution sales and delivery from a customer success vantage and drives Platform new
product adoption. The candidate will possess knowledge of the solution sales process and
outcome through the origination, closing of services sales opportunities, and delivery. The
Practice Lead, Platforms is expected to bring a strong foundation in enterprise
Infrastructure and Tier 1 application knowledge while working together with applicable
Product Managers to craft synergistic solutions.
The Practice Leader, Platforms shall:
• Lead all services development, toolkits, Level or effort for all products in the
Platform portfolio and work with the Services Practice Development to keep
items current and develop training programs where necessary
• Manage and develop yearly Platform training plan for team of consultants and
track consulting adherence to the training plan
• Be responsible for verifying presales services level of effort, on tier 3 ($200k+)
Platform services offerings
• In larger pursuits work Advisory Services Managers and Architects to construct
class-leading, complex global outcomes
• Provide presales support for Customer Success Clients where complex offerings
and solutions are being prepared for selling.
• Work with Nutanix Product Managers and CS Enterprise Architecture in creating
service offerings that properly map back to new and existing consulting product
• Working closely and foster relationships with key Clients, Product Management,
and the Sales and SE organizational leaders
• Drive and manage KPI for Platform consulting attach and incremental corporate
• Lead and refine geography’s Platform opportunity plans and grow the surface
area for campaigns aligning with the corporate mission
• Participate in weekly sales and revenue forecasts, quarterback creative ways to
provide customer value, and stay abreast of status/details for each campaign
and opportunity where your involvement guarantees a successful outcome.
• Monitor Platform consulting CSAT delivery quality and follow up with white
glove service on deficient areas where necessary
• Deliver Platform consulting solutions to key Clients and projects where
necessary. The expected billable percentage is 35%.
NUTANIX QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
•Demonstrated management of a hyper-growth services organization facing scale
and operational challenges while still meeting or exceeding targets.
•Previous management experience with managing or matrix-managing delivery
•Minimum of seven years of experience in either service delivery, SI/SP, Enterprise
architecture, or services sales roles
•Candidate should have Nutanix NPX or VMware VCDX certification within 18 month
of start date.
•Understanding of hyperconvergence infrastructure (HCI), and their impact on the
•Enterprise Cloud, software, Enterprise level application architectures for business
critical applications, data center architecture, and/or enterprise-application solution
•Broad experience in designing datacenter architecture based on virtualization
technologies like KVM, VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
•Expert knowledge in High Availability and Disaster Recovery for business critical
•Excellent understanding of hybrid cloud modalities, IT go-to market challenges,
and business drivers that impact customer purchasing decisions
•Proven experience in designing solutions based on cloud architecture in a Premier
•Natural leadership abilities, ability to thrive in an independent manner combining
exceptional interpersonal communication, virtual team building, and presentation
•Discuss contractual and commercial constructs of a services engagement,
Enterprise Purchase Agreements (EPA), working with extended account teams in a
potentially multi-vendor arrangement
•Quickly respond to tactical requests for services balancing the enterprise needs of
the organization, along with an ability to triage small to mid-sized projects with
technical proposals and delivery
