Human Resources Intern

Our HR team is looking for a temporary, part-time resource to support our high recruiting volume and perform various administrative functions. This role is great exposure to a fast-paced professional environment and an opportunity to learn the administrative building blocks within a human resources department.


  • Open, update, maintain and close position requisitions in applicant tracking system
  • Post and maintain positions on Tyler’s Career site as well as on external job posting sites
  • Assist with administration/coordination of new hire onboarding
  • Conduct reference checks as needed
  • Assist with maintaining records for tracking requisitions and staffing expenses
  • Assist with searching for and sourcing candidates (e.g. using resume databases, etc.)
  • Provide excellent customer service and guidance to hiring managers throughout the hiring process
  • Assist in scheduling and organizing recruiting events
  • Assist Recruiter with college career fairs as needed
  • Scan confidential files for HR staff
  • Contribute to various Human Resources Ad Hoc projects


  • High school diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Word)
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong decision making and problem solving/analysis skills including the ability to research and resolve basic issues
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize and follow through
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices and customer and team focus
  • Excellent multi-tasking, highly organized and excellent time-management skills
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and high ethical standards
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Desire to learn and grow in the Human Resources field
    • 1 year of experience working with applicant tracking systems
    • Knowledge of applicable Federal, state and local laws and regulations related to the Human Resources function including, but not limited to, FLSA, ADA, Civil Rights Act of 1964, and FMLA

This position is also open to college students actively pursuing a Human Resources or related degree.
