Tyler Technologies is currently hiring for a Senior Marketing Specialist! The Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating and managing multifaceted campaigns to meet business goals, generate leads, and increase brand recognition for Tyler's solutions, including its cybersecurity services. This includes determining campaign needs and selecting appropriate communication vehicles, writing well-researched content, providing creative direction to internal teams, and managing the development of initiatives to completion, including tracking key performance indicators and budgets.   

This role will be responsible for establishing marketing program initiatives, both traditional and digital. You will create and implement marketing strategies as well as create blogs, case studies, product sheets, flyers, brochures, web copy, email communications, ad copy, and more. You will need to understand how to position and promote our solutions within the public administration market to reach the widest audience and convert prospects to leads. Previous team leadership or management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities 

  • Drive group objectives by developing innovative ways to communicate marketing messages via integrated marketing programs that include direct mail, email, web, video, collateral, and that support tradeshows and events.
  • Responsible for product focused communications related to key initiatives and client awareness.
  • Ensure marketing messaging is consistent and drives the key messages in an impactful way.
  • Write copy for marketing materials in a manner that is audience appropriate, impactful, and that follows writing and SEO best practices.
  • Effectively interact with Sales or other internal clients, as appropriate, to determine requirements and design programs that meet campaign objectives.
  • Utilize a metric driven approach to determine which campaigns/programs are most effective and leverage these learnings to adjust future marketing activity.
  • Project manage all the parts of campaigns to ensure they are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and manage project schedules, approvals and other project-related needs utilizing the Marketing Department’s online project management software.
  • Obtain product or service information by interviewing or requesting such information from necessary parties including internal division subject matter experts and clients.
  • Write product fact sheets, brochures, case studies, newsletter articles, advertising, social media, and other material as requested by the Marketing leadership.
  • Provide guidance for other marketing staff concerning messaging and project direction.
  • Provide leadership or mentorship to junior members of the team.
Qualifications  
  • Minimum of 6-8 years marketing experience, preferably cybersecurity solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • An understanding of and experience with a variety of types of marketing communications vehicles – including email, direct mail, collateral, video, web, and tradeshows
  • Experience effectively managing a variety of marketing projects and timelines, with close attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills and experience; knowledge of AP style
  • Expertise understanding customer needs and incorporating client perspectives into communications
  • Ability to effectively work with subject matter experts across the group’s various verticals
  • Capacity to stay abreast of industry and marketing best practices, trends, ideas, tools and technology
  • Macintosh or PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with Adobe InCopy preferred
  • An understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
  • A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectations is key to the success of this role
  • Technology/software industry experience strongly preferred; public sector experience preferred
