We are looking to add an HR Business Partner to our team!     

When we say, “business partner”, it is not just part of the title. This position needs to understand and support the business operations with a unique and developed focus on the people who make our company awesome. This role helps build, maintain, and adapt to all the changing aspects of full employee life-cycle work.  From strategic design to tactical operations, this HR Business Partner connects the work we do with the engagement and the growth of our team, using all of their skills and experience.    
 
For this role, we would prefer candidates to work onsite or a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) in either our Lakewood, Colorado; Lubbock, Texas; or Latham, New York locations. You can see our office locations here: https://www.tylertech.com/about-us/about-tyler/locations  
 

Responsibilities

  • Drive performance management activities such as performance evaluations process, performance improvement plans and terminations.
  • Partner with divisional and business unit leadership to identify and develop talent and engagement solutions that reflect and enhance the Tyler culture.
  • Partner with the business in developing strategy to identify and address risk, and achieve operational objectives either directly or under the leadership of divisional HR leader.
  • Facilitate leadership and succession planning and career development for managers/leaders such as facilitating talent reviews, 360-feedback assessments, and development plans.
  • Support learning and development programs and initiatives and partner with the Talent Development team to identify, create and facilitate programs to support team member development.
  • Analyze surveys and other employment data to identify trends and provide recommendations to divisional and business unit managers and leadership.
  • Consult with divisional and business unit leadership on optimal organizational structure and reorganizations and implement effective change management in the process.
  • Provide guidance regarding base and variable compensation decisions, pay equity, and administration of the compensation structure including design of new incentive compensation structures.
  • Provide interpretation and guidance for Tyler Technologies policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and international (as needed) laws, regulatory compliance, and other applicable requirements, which may include recommendations for new policies or policy updates.
  • Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives to ensure a fair and equitable workplace.
  • May administer processes and programs such as Workers Compensation, Immigration, Leaves of Absence, Reasonable Accommodation, Affirmative Action, Service Awards, etc.
  • Model Tyler's Mission, Vision and Values behaviors and mentor employees to do the same.
  • Collaborate on and at times lead divisional as well as Tyler-wide HR projects and initiatives.
  • May support international employees in partnership with Country HR team.
   
   

Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP/SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR Certification preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years human resources experience
    • Ideally, experience within a large, matrixed environment, preferably in the tech sector.
  • Expert knowledge of employee relations, human resource management and principles
  • Proven track record of providing business partnership to organizational leadership
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically
  • Demonstrated ability to use data analytics effectively in guiding the business
  • Expert knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations 
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and present to a variety of audiences including Senior Leadership 
  • Working knowledge in each of the functional areas: employee engagement, talent acquisition, performance management, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and workforce development
  • Able to travel to other offices, up to about 10% of the time
