Responsibilities

  • Direct payments teams to achieve future potential and established expectations.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Tyler’s payment platform, citizen access portals, pricing strategies and market approach.
  • Responsible for group pricing and adoption strategy to achieve revenue growth for installed and new payments business.
  • Responsible for growth of Disbursements via AP automation, procurement, earned wage access and other future opportunities.
  • Identify best practices in sales approach on access portals and payments ROI on both Acquiring and Disbursements.  Additionally, understand and leverage the various transactional fee structures and price increase based on market tiers and competitive landscape.
  • Oversee group level product roadmap and priorities and align with Digital Solutions Division to ensure a deliverable enterprise-wide payments product and access portals with tightly integrated, processor agnostic, and a comprehensive reporting and reconciliation.
  • Collaboratively work with other Public Admin Group teams and the Digital Solutions Division as needed through the deal process to ensure resource alignment and ownership of commitments across product owners.
  • Work with Digital Solutions Division to develop an aligned Tyler wide standalone sales strategy and go to market plan.
  • Serve as the key point person and liaison between Public Admin and Digital Solutions.
  • Ensure there is a clear set of processes, procedures, SLA’s, roles and responsibilities related to; RFI/RFP responses, sales rules of engagement, and implementation and support of the access and payment portals.
  • Establish metrics and key indicators for predictable, reliable growth that meet or exceed our 2030 financial objectives related to Payments, both Acquiring and Disbursements.
  • RUN PAYMENTS AS A BUSINESS.  Establish core competencies, be forward thinking and innovate on ways to further capitalize in our markets and to displace competitors.
  • Establish stability and predictability in the payments group and financial growth in the business units.
  • Identify and integrate key resources and personnel to help drive growth.
  • Proactively drive forecasting, ARR modeling, and research on addressable target local government market.
  • Ensure that Tyler Payments (processing & access portals) remain competitive and market leading.
  • Demonstrate attentiveness to continual improvement of the sales operations, sales tools, and artifacts required to best support and align all Tyler divisions.
  • Develop consistent and standardized quoting tools in CRM to enable Tyler sellers to effectively capture maximum payments revenue to each opportunity.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in the payments industry, with a focus on leadership roles in payment processing solutions, revenue growth, and strategic business development.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
  • Adaptable leadership style that can collaborate effectively across various business units and across various levels of the organization. 
  • Partner with various levels of leaders to influence, guide and steer to desired and expected outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to successfully work independently and within a team.
  • Well-developed logical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and anticipate market and client needs and collaborate across the organization to develop innovative payment solutions.
  • Familiarity with a variety of local government concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Seasoned Payments Industry Leadership experience understanding merchant and payment processing solutions, operational and risk compliance regulations, and evolving payment technologies expected within the Public Sector.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and PowerBI.
