Description

The Hardware Installation Support Specialist is responsible for planning, scheduling, and deployment of Tyler Technologies kiosk, tablet, and client network solutions. In addition, working with Sales in responding to RFP, confirming technology needs, and completion of facility walkthrough for new installations.               

This position combines project management, administrative, technical and organizational skills to coordinate the analysis, quoting, delivery, installation and deployment of Tyler’s hardware solutions. The Hardware Installation Support Specialist maintains close communication and relationships with all other business units within the division and possibly with other Tyler divisions.             

Note: This role requires 50%-75% travel to client sites within the U.S.   

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Corrections Solutions teams to manage information flow between internal teams, partners, facility staff, and third party contractors.
  • Become familiar with business requirements, support team contacts and other application-specific background information.
  • Work with Sales, Support, and Project Management teams to complete facility walkthroughs, installation, and final sign-off for client environments
  • Develop and execute project plans to maintain the scope, schedule, and all responsibilities for various projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on progress of projects to ensure compliance with the project plan and effectively communicate to team leads.
  • Obtain regular feedback from business contacts regarding project status and quality of service and take immediate corrective action as required.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and outage scenarios and provide technical support and feedback to resolve issues.

  • Build rapport with business units and other IT departments while actively influencing events and negotiating changes to achieve project goals.
  • Incorporate new information, make quick decisions, and keep the appropriate parties informed of rapidly occurring developments.
  • Demonstrate good time management, organizational skills and work independently or in a team.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, or comparable work experience.
  • Preferred three to five years’ general IT experience
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast paced, technical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as good listening skills.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and persuasion skills.
