Description

The Tyler Technologies Arkansas Enterprise is currently looking for a web designer to design and develop beautiful ADA-compliant websites for our partners. You will work closely with other internal team members and partners to conceptualize and implement creative ideas for websites and applications and create visual elements that align with our partners' branding and objectives. 
 
To be successful in this role, you will need to use your excellent visual design skills to contribute to our mission of connecting citizens to government in more unique and effective ways through technology.
 
 
You will provide creative concepts and ideas that expand the utilization of new and existing technologies. Additionally, you will be part of a creative team responsible for enhancing existing websites and applications and developing new ones.
 
You are a perfect fit for this role if you are passionate about design, advancing existing and new websites and applications, solving complex problems, and driving issues to resolution.
You will meet with partners to wireframe and design user interfaces, write clean semantic code, and regularly work with product managers and programmers to successfully launch new products and enhancements to existing products.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design attractive, standards-compliant, ADA-compliant, cross-browser compatible interfaces for web applications and sites based on best practices for mobile and web.
  • Design graphics, logos, print materials, and marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with project managers, partners and other technical staff to understand user requirements to identify design solutions.
  • Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
  • Research, define, and maintain UI/UX best practices and standards, including browser compatibility standards, enterprise application templates, responsive design methods, and typography guidelines.
  • Work with team members to troubleshoot and resolve problems with digital government solutions and websites and assist in communicating with partners on procedures and standards.
  • Provide level of effort and work estimates to contribute to project plan creation
 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
  • Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of content management systems, especially WordPress.
  • Strong knowledge of web standards and accessibility compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and data-driven design
  • Excellent visual design skills.
