Financial Analyst - EERP & Civic

Tyler Technologies is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our EERP & Civic Finance team in the Yarmouth, ME office! The position is responsible for performing financial planning and analysis for the EERP & Civic Services Division. The position supports the Director of Finance, EERP & Civic, by providing financial analysis services in a broad range of areas including (but not limited to) financial results, planning, projections, analysis and key metrics. The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial analysis and planning for a $500+ million division of a $2 billion software company.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate Division financial plans and projections.
- Provide biweekly, quarterly and annual reports to senior management including financial projections and operating performance.
- Prepare analysis of results versus expectations for senior management and make recommendations and/or changes to improve and support business operations.
- Drive operational efficiencies by identifying and implementing process enhancements that create improved controls and profitability.
- Assist in the development of performance/ profitability metrics to ensure results are aligned with expectations.
- Clearly articulate and present recommended actions based on financial analysis, projections, and results.
- Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis in support of business and various ad hoc projects.
- Key resource responsible for developing and maintaining financial databases that support actual, plan and projected financial information, using Microsoft Access.
Qualifications
- BS in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting (preferred)
- 5 years progressive experience in financial roles, including financial planning
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial statements required
- Knowledge of financial concepts beyond accounting
- Expertise in MS Excel and database query building.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Board
- The candidate must:
