What You Will Do:
The Surgical Services Office Coordinator is responsible for supporting the director, physicians, and more than 200 staff in the Surgical Services Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: scheduling interviews for candidates under consideration for hire, reviews applicants with managers and director, new employee orientation and assignment of lockers, record keeping, taking of minutes for a variety of meetings, office equipment/maintenance/supplies, internal/external customer communication, maintenance of staff files (including education/certifications), invoice processing, providing Surgical Services tours for physician candidates, monitoring vendors' on-site visits for compliance, transcribing letters and other communications from various physician committee chairpersons, ensuring that documentation and communications posted in Surgical Services remains current. Acts as a facilitator between Surgical Services and other departments. Duties also include collaboration with Surgical Services director to coordinate director's daily schedule, assist to prioritize conflicting appointments, manage the flow of traffic into the Surgical Services Administration Office and provides physician support.
What You Will Bring:
Associates Business Administration, Computer Science, Ind Engineering, Healthcare Admin or related field required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Administrative work experience of at least five years, with Surgical Services administrative work experience of two or more years preferred.
Proficiency with various computer software packages required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and set appropriate priorities required
Strong situational awareness skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers required
Exceptional organizational skills required
Strong oral and written presentation skills required
Ability to work effectively in a team environment required
