NIC Connecticut (NIC CT) is looking to hire a mid-level Digital Analytics Specialist who actively works with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio.  Preference will be given to those with a Google Analytics Certification and active member of the Digital Analytics Association or related association.

The Digital Analytics Specialist is tasked with becoming the trusted advisor to our client, which requires you to have a deep understanding of web analytics and tag management.  In this role, you will setup and configure Google Analytics and tag management via Google Tag Manager. Using your strong analytical mind, you will understand how to define user journeys across the web experience, develop a set of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the journeys and finally collect and analyze the data to make insightful recommendations.  These recommendations may come in the form of power point presentations, reports, or data visualization. 

The Digital Analytics Specialist must be proficient at creating and presenting reports for “C” level executives.

All candidates must be physically located in the United States. However, this can be a remote position with some travel to Connecticut as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations with data to support those recommendations
  • Identify areas for improvements in collecting analytics
  • Understand how to track a user’s journey
  • Create and present reports to corporate level executives
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and understand business objectives and develop KPIs aligned with those objectives
  • Stay current on latest analytics techniques and best practices
  • Create and maintain a holistic Digital Analytics Strategy
  • Provide guidance and best practices to content owners on web analytics
  • Train on using Google Analytics
  • Create infographics for data heavy reports
  • Implement and Configure Google Tag Manager
  • Implement and Configure Google analytics Universal and GA4
  • Implement and config Hotjar
  • Modify Google Analytic settings as needed to improve tracking
  • Create and maintain dashboards using Google Data Studio
  • Assist agencies in running analytics reports and broken links reports with Screaming Frog

Qualifications and Experiences

  • 5+ Years in Analytics Environment working with Google Analytics and Google Data Studio

  • Proficient with the use of MS Excel
  • Experience with Google Data Studio or Tableau

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills to Senior Level Managers
  • Articulate and able to back up recommendations with data, examples, and facts.
  • Basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript Experience

Experience, Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics or related field
  • Google Analytics Certification
  • Active member of Digital Analytics Association or related association.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience using Google Analytics with Sitecore and Salesforce
  • Experience in Government Sector
