Nutanix is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team 


  • Manage and prepare all domestic monthly, quarterly and annual sales & use taxes, Franchise, gross receipts and other non-income tax returns in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the Avalara sales tax engine and Cert capture integration with NetSuite.
  • Maintain Tax resale certificates in Avalara/Tax engine.
  • Partner with business functions such as AP, Order Management, R&D, Marketing and other departments to address use tax on purchases.
  • Prepare Canada GST return and monthly GL account reconciliation.
  • Assist in Tax implementations relating to new product initiatives.
  • Prepare month end account reconciliation of various tax related GL accounts.
  • Assist with state and local tax audit, tax inquiries and tax notices.
  • Develop, maintain or continually improve data collection process for preparation of tax returns.
  • Assist in filing of LATAM indirect tax returns by working with local third party service providers.
  • Prepare and maintain sales, use, property and other indirect tax calendars.
  • Assist in preparation of SOX controls documentation and compliance for indirect tax.
  • Research, analyze statutory and regulatory law changes in US indirect tax and prepare technical memos as assigned.
  • Opportunity to participate and learn other areas of Tax such as International Indirect tax, R&D tax credit, Income tax and other ad-hoc tax projects.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.


  • 4 to 6 years of indirect tax experience with a fast growing company or public accounting.
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MS in Taxation, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of indirect tax engine.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated understanding of complex tax concepts.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities, upbeat demeanor and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
