We are looking for passionate technology innovators for our Platforms team to build and deliver the products that fuel this journey. You should have the passion, knowledge of industry trends and next-generation technologies, and the knack to take standard x86 servers and storage components and build powerful, energy-efficient, highly scalable, and highly serviceable products of the future.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work on and interact across all layers of the NX Platform products from a compatibility & interoperability perspective, viz. Storage and compute Hardware, Firmware [BIOS, BMC], Drivers, and Software [Operating Systems, Hypervisors, and Management plane]
Your Role
- Collaborate closely with the Product Management team to deeply understand business needs
- Lead co-validation efforts with OEM vendor Engineering and mechanical teams to establish a solid hardware platform solution
- Take complete ownership of platform delivery by following the devops model
- Familiar with BIOS / BMC FW bring up integration with x86 Platform
- Develop and maintain structured test plans for NX Platform qualifications and new technology features; Develop code for new software features and automate test cases using Python to increase efficiency for new product introduction and regression coverage
- Champion of SW/HW bug triaging, debugging, and working with internal dev teams to drive fixes and address the gap in product development and qualification
- Support new platform launches by collaborating with cross functional teams such as Product Management, support, and Operations
Engage in projects across diverse global teams for seamless collaboration and execution
What You Will Bring
- Utilize 6-10 years of experience in HW/SW areas with design, validation, and automation expertise
- Demonstrate 5-7years of experience at an Enterprise data center product or services company in a systems analysis or development role
- Exhibit a solid understanding of x86 server platforms including SSD, NVMe, NICs, processors, RAM, storage controllers, and server virtualization technologies
- Possess a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Display advanced knowledge of Python or other scripting languages, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and expertise in Agile SW QA release and bug tracking systems.

Meet Alex Lau
- Joined Nutanix in 2016 and joined as Lead for the OEM Platform team. Currently managing the NX Platform team, which accounts for more than 60% of the total new platform launch for Nutanix.
- 20+ Years of experience building and shipping products with Nutanix, Dell, EMC, and Datadomain.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 128,800 and USD $ 258,000 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
