CPU and New Technology Enablement Engineer
- This role is under Nutanix Core Platform Software group in Bangalore, India. We are looking for validation experts for solutions that will enable us to run and manage Acropolis hypervisor seamlessly across multiple Hardware Platforms.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent programming skills and a proven track record of designing and developing test frameworks for CPU features and Linux Kernel testing for a virtualized environment.
- This role provides a unique opportunity to work and interact across all layers of the product from a compatibility & interoperability perspective, viz. Storage & Compute Hardware, Drivers, and Software [Operating Systems, Hypervisors, and Management plane
- Work with various Cross-functional teams (New Technologies, Acropolis Hypervisor, Foundation etc.) to validate New CPUs, qualify New Technologies with Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor kernel.
- Understanding the whole stack of hardware and software for solutions that govern, monitor, and take action on anomalies in the system
- Contribute to test plan design, developing test framework and automated test suites
- Test Nutanix stack to work on any hardware in the market
- Work on making the Nutanix software stack highly reliable and performant via OS level tuning and configuration
- Debug customer issues and help resolve them in a timely manner
- Apply agile methodologies to testing and automation projects
- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in design and development of test framework for CPU and Kernel testing
- 7–10 years of experience in a product company in a similar role
- Good understanding of x86 server Architectures, Storage, Networking, Operating Systems and Server Virtualization technologies
- Solid understanding of Linux OS and distributed systems
- Good knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
- Your manager for this role will be Varinder Sogi, Technical Director of the Platform Flex team. Varinder has been with Nutanix since 2014 and currently manages a team of 11 members.
