The Opportunity
Nutanix is looking for technology pioneers for our Platform Software team to build Software Solutions that will enable us to run Acropolis OS seamlessly across multiple Hardware Platforms. We are looking for candidates that are energetic , creative and have strong technical acumen. Nutanix welcomes big thinkers, those who are unafraid to take on seemingly impossible demands and interested in learning new things. The ideal candidate should have excellent programming skills and a proven track record of designing and building features/products, in the areas of Management, Diagnostics, Monitoring of Data Centre Hardware, like Servers, Storage Appliances, Switches, Routers etc.

Your Role
  • Deep understanding of x86 server Architectures, Storage, Networking, Operating Systems and Server Virtualization technologies
  • Solid understanding of Linux OS and distributed systems
  • Strong Programming & Debugging skills in any C/C++, Python or Go.
  • Exposure to Micro Services Architectures & Backend development is a big plus.
  • Good to have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud.
  • Prior experience in the design, development, and delivery of SaaS applications.

 

What You Will Bring
  • I worked with various cross-functional teams (New Technologies, Acropolis Hypervisor, Core Data path, Infra) under Platform Software Development team to design integration & development of software for the Nutanix distributed cluster
  • Understand the whole stack of hardware and software interaction and implement software that governs, monitors, and takes action on anomalies in the system.
  • Design and Implement reliable software management infrastructure for clusters that scale out to hundreds of hosts.
  • Work on running the Nutanix stack on any hardware in the market.
  • Debug customer issues and help resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Building high-performing systems that are scalable and extensible.
  • 3+ years of experience.
