What You Will Do:
The Medical Group Finance team at Valley Health is offering an exciting opportunity to join an emerging team within the Valley Health Medical Group. This role offers significant opportunity for development and career progression in the quickly expanding field of medical group finance and reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst leads the development and delivery of financial, clinical, and business analytical products and recommendations, including providing leadership during the financial planning and budgeting processes. This role will focus on synthesizing financial, clinical, and strategic data to evaluate and develop business plans in current and emerging markets in support of the Vice President of Medical Group Finance and the Chief Operating Officer of the Valley Health Medical Group. Senior Financial Analysts work closely with the operational teams throughout the medical group to build relationships and function as a trusted business partner. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently with business partners to evaluate business models and performance and develop KPIs with a focus on both financial and clinical utilization metrics. Areas of expertise will include revenue cycle operations, provider compensation and utilization, reimbursement and federal programs, medical group funds flow, and financial management.
The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in revenue cycle management, benchmarking, provider compensation, capital planning, budgeting, financial analysis, resource utilization, and forecasting. In addition to the medical group team, the role collaborates closely with Revenue Cycle Management, Business Analytics, Business Planning, and the Financial Treasury & Accounting departments, as well as supporting the matrixed relationships with the hospital finance teams.
What You Will Bring:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance or Accounting and five years related experience preferably in healthcare, OR Masters degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance or Accounting and three years related experience, preferably in healthcare.
Experience
Proficiency in Tableau preferred
Certification & Licensures
CPA, FACMPE or other related professional certification preferred.
Qualifications
Ability to evaluate large quantities of disparate information and accurately synthesize into salient points within tight time frames. Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Excel, Word and Access.
Knowledge of physician reimbursement and budgeting systems.
Strong organization, attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills (team player/ability to work in a highly matrixed environment). Strong desire to add value to an organization with high quality products. Customer service driven individual. Effective creative problem solver.
