What You Will Do:

The Secretary/Purchasing Expediter is Materials Management's initial communicator to all VHS departments; affiliate facilities, vendor community and customers. Therefore, it is essential to demonstrate excellent communication skills. Key day to day responsibilities include completing a departmental payroll for fifty employees, expediting assigned purchasing duties, performing secretarial duties for the department; coordinating/scheduling meetings for Director, Purchasing Manager, and Operations Manager; preparing and distributing various reports to administration, including MMIS reports, cost analysis reports, and affiliate hospitals/collaborative group reports; assisting Customer Service Representatives in expediting purchase orders, installation reports, asset tags, and establishing new vendors.

What You Will Bring:

Education

High school graduate or equivalent required. Two years college training in Secretarial Science, Business or Accounting preferred.

Experience
Automated payroll system experience highly preferred. Two years experience in Secretarial Science, Business or Accounting preferred.


Qualifications
High degree of computer competency in MS Office, (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point) and Cognos Report Writer preferred. Excellent communication skills essential (verbal and written).
