Job Overview:
Applicants must be licensed and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a small animal practice, and a passion for exotic pets. Experience working with exotic pets is preferred, but not required. The most important quality we are looking for is someone who shares our values and has the ability to learn. We are a growing, fun practice looking for someone who isn’t afraid of hard work and who knows how to work under pressure, as well as how to manage slow times. Our values include utilizing technician's abilities to the fullest, and including them in all aspects of medical care. You will never be bored working with our fascinating caseload and with our eclectic staff, which includes both veterinary AND technician specialists.
Position will require some weekend, holiday, and evening hours, but we are flexible and believe in a work-life balance for all of our employees.

At our unique practice, we do not treat dogs or cats, instead spending our days working with parrots, reptiles, and a ton of interesting small mammals such as ferrets, rabbits, and rodents. We have a high surgical caseload and perform all types of procedures from endoscopy to orthopedic repairs. We have onsite ultrasound, digital radiography, and all equipment is tailored for small exotic pets. We have a strong presence in our community, offering a high-volume spay/neuter clinic for small exotic animals, and we work closely with several exotic animals rescues to help heal and place exotic pets.

Compensation:
Negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $20-$28/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
