** This position will ideally be based out of our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX and will be hybrid. Individuals need to be willing to commute to Downtown Austin 2 days a week. We will also consider individuals in DFW, San Antonio and Houston. **
 
  
  
Job Summary:    
As Internal Communications Manager, you will collaborate closely with organizational stakeholders to understand the business needs and develop appropriate communications strategies, tactics, and opportunities to support team members’ engagement and retention.      
     
Responsibilities:      
Leading with Your Head     
Understanding business, solving problems, and making decisions through inclusive contributions of others     
  • Draft and create high-quality content to support Thrive’s business strategy and Team Member Value Proposition through meaningful and creative communication. The types of content may include emails, digests, intranet content, videos, podcasts, and presentations.
  • Maintain the internal communications content calendar across all channels.
  • Proactively identify content opportunities and scout for team members’ stories.
  • Maintain and enhance internal communications platforms to ensure they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with Thrive’s goals and values.
  • Lead content, promotion, and logistics of Thrive’s internal corporate events.
  • In partnership with the External Communications Manager, periodically support crisis communications and risk prevention.
  • Periodically support content development and communication for the Board of Directors and key shareholder groups.
  • Measure, analyze, and report the effectiveness of communications programs and content.
  • Manage special projects as needed.

  • Manage various internal stakeholders (up, down, and across) to ensure focus on business priorities and Team Member Value Proposition.
  
Key Qualifications:     
  • At least 7 years of experience in corporate communications or internal communications role
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills (you must love writing and storytelling!)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of SharePoint and Marketo
  • Demonstrated understanding of excellent visual design principles
  • A passion for building inclusive communities and creating memorable brand experiences
  • Experience in partnering and providing counsel to senior executives
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • A self-starter who thrives in a team environment that’s fast-paced and dynamic - experience in highly matrixed organizations, retail, and multi-unit brick-and-mortar environments is a plus
  • Design experience a plus (InDesign, Adobe Photoshop/ Lightroom or other)
  • Video editing experience is a plus
