MRI Technician
Description
ACCESS Pasadena is seeking a part-time MRI technician to join our team!
This position will be on-call and our ideal candidate must be certified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist.
Pay range: $29/hr - $33/hr (depending upon experience)
Responsibilities:
- Perform the imaging portion (not anesthetic portion) of all MRI procedures ordered by veterinarians in ACCESS hospitals
- Arrange for appropriate distribution of images throughout required modalities as requested by doctors or clients
- Maintain the health of the MRI machine, control unit, and all related software as necessary.
- During any downtime from MRI scanning, assist and receive basic training within the rest of the hospital to be able to assist technical/facility staff as needed.
- Ensures that day-to-day scanning procedures are followed, including proficiency in scanning MRI examination, following specific site/doctor protocols.
- Ensuring the safety of personnel (and machine) in the MRI/CT/Ultrasound and Radiology areas
- Oversee additional tasks assigned by your leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Must be certified and maintain certification by an accredited MRI program i.e. American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Minimum 2 years direct experience
- Must have knowledge of PACS systems and related Image viewing programs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to multi-task and critical think under pressure.
- Must be able to stand, bend, or kneel for long periods of time.
- Possess sufficient ambulatory skills to perform duties while in the hospital, including manipulating (lift, carry, move) 50 lbs. or more; walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch intermittently, and stand for long periods.
