Redmond-Kirkland Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Urgent Care team!

Position Details:

  • Three 12 hour shifts (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, 11a-11p) with four days off. This is a set schedule, so that you have the ability to plan around your days off
  • Wage range starting at $28.00/hr and dependent on experience


Responsibilities include:

  • Venipuncture
  • Catheter placement
  • Lab sample collection
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Monitoring hospitalized patients
  • Dispensing medications as directed by veterinarians
  • Assisting doctors in exam rooms
  • Assisting with surgical procedures
  • Triage emergent patients
  • Client communications

Ideal candidate:

  • Must have Washington State Veterinary Technician license or be eligible
  • Has strong client service skills
  • Is proficient with animal handling & restraint
  • Has a flexible approach to a fast paced environment
  • Is able to work well on a team and is self-directed
  • Is compassionate, motivated and dedicated
  • Has strong problem-solving abilities (judgment, logic, creativity, conflict resolution).
  • Has at least one year of emergency or critical care experience
