Tyler Technologies corporate marketing team is accepting resumes for a summer 2021 internship opportunity. You will be immersed in Tyler’s successful Marketing department and will gain an understanding of the public sector and technology industry, as well as gain valuable experience with growing internal communications, media relations, and public relations programs.

The corporate communications intern will assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks of the corporate communications team and will be given exposure to a broad range of marketing responsibilities. Projects may include supporting internal communications campaigns, updating presentations and reference documents, assisting with media relations, and writing/editing intranet articles or other marketing materials. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop summary reports from survey data
  • Create/Update PowerPoint presentations
  • Write and edit communications for internal marketing initiatives
  • Interview internal subject matter experts for source material or to confirm details on various marketing or communication projects
  • Monitor, manage, and improve internal reference documents
  • Collaborate with corporate communications team to design, build, and execute internal campaigns as well as articles for the employee intranet
  • Assist with the analysis and reporting of email and campaign efforts
  • Work with various resources in the department to ensure marketing materials and programs follow processes and flows through production in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in marketing or business administration
  • Good understanding of sales/marketing concepts, including corporate communications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills - experience using AP style
  • Intellectual curiosity and a reporter’s mindset
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (critical: strong Word and Excel skills)
  • Effective time management skills (deadline/results driven)
  • Good understanding and experience using AP Style
  • Highly detailed-oriented with the ability to engross themselves with data, and feel energized by consistent quality improvements made over time
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
