Platform Specialist (SO2)
Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical expertise to support and resolve technical issues and respond to service requests in support of the Data & Analytics platform
- Perform administrative activities such as software upgrades, configuration management,security management, enhancements, performance tuning and optimisation across the Data & Analytics platform
- Provide advice and communication with internal stakeholders and vendors, regarding technical and operational aspects of the Data & Analytics platform Participate in change and release management activities, and proactive health checks and performance monitoring across the Data & Analytics platform
- Participate in authoring and delivering technical training and education to stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, data management or analytics field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role with demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining Data & Analytics technologiesincluding, but not limited to, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration & Reporting Services, Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics, Azure Cloud data platform, Power BI
- A passion for cloud-based technologies, data, and analytics
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of data governance, metadata management, data protection, data quality, reference and master data management technologies
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the ITIL Framework including, but not limited to, Problem and Incident Management, Change Management and Service Level Management
- Excellent interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in implementing DevOps practices, including cloud automation, supporting, and maintaining DevOps functions such as CI/CD etc
- Proficient in the use of programming languages such as T-SQL, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell etc
- Ability to travel
