As an Assistant Accountant reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will be embarking on a career filled with success and development. Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Accountant role has the following key duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain all aspects of COGS and OPEX
- Manage contracts and subscriptions, ensuring timely renewals
- Conduct weekly bank reconciliations for all accounts and corporate cards
- Participate in budgeting and cash flow forecasting across multiple regions
- Ensure timely month-end processing and accurate financial reporting
- Liaise with financial institutions for treasury management
- Support payroll processing and statutory tax filings
- Assist with audit preparations and compliance activities
- Maintain and update the internal policies as necessary
- Engage in ad hoc projects and tasks as required
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and proven experience (2+ years) in a similar role, ideally within a dynamic, high-growth environment or the Payment Card Industry
- Pursuing CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong Excel skills with exceptional experience with MS Power BI preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly MYOB Advanced (desirable)
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- A strong team player with a proactive, problem-solving attitude, keen eye for detail, and robust analytical skills.
